Fio Silva is a Buenos Aires-based muralist whose work explores movement, energy, and the relationship between art and public space. With over 15 years of experience painting in the streets, her journey began while studying audiovisual design, where drawing and painting naturally led her beyond the studio and into her neighborhood walls.
From the beginning, muralism became more than a technique—it became a way to connect with people and environments in real time. Painting in public spaces allowed her to share not only the finished work, but the process itself, engaging directly with the surrounding community. This connection remains central to her practice.
Fio is drawn to the ephemeral nature of murals. Unlike traditional artwork, public pieces are temporary, shaped by time, environment, and change. For her, this impermanence reflects society itself—constantly evolving, shifting, and redefining its identity.
Her work is characterized by figures in motion, capturing moments that feel alive and expressive. Each piece carries a sense of rhythm and energy, where movement becomes a visual language. This dynamic quality is essential, as her murals are meant to evoke emotion and presence within the spaces they inhabit.
At its core, Fio Silva’s work is about visibility, connection, and shared experience. Through her murals, she transforms everyday walls into living expressions of identity, reflecting both the present moment and the collective future of the communities around her.
