Roger Triviños creates artwork rooted in culture, memory, and the stories that shape everyday life. Born and raised in Lima, Peru, and now based in Southern California, Roger draws inspiration from the places, traditions, and people that have influenced his journey. His paintings reflect a deep connection to his heritage while embracing the vibrant cultural influences that surround him today.

Growing up in Peru left a lasting impression on the artist. The streets, architecture, markets, neighborhoods, and daily rhythms of life continue to appear throughout his work. These familiar scenes are more than visual references—they are personal memories brought back to life through paint. Whether depicting a bustling street corner, a quiet moment of reflection, or a cultural celebration, Roger's work serves as a visual bridge between past and present.

After spending more than four decades in Los Angeles, Roger has also found tremendous inspiration in Mexican culture. That influence is woven throughout many of his paintings, particularly in his exploration of Día de los Muertos imagery and traditions. Rather than focusing solely on symbolism, he captures the spirit of remembrance, celebration, and connection that makes the tradition so meaningful to so many communities.

Storytelling sits at the heart of Roger's creative process. While some artists communicate through words, Roger prefers to tell his stories through imagery. Every painting becomes a personal expression of emotion, memory, and cultural identity. His subjects often represent the people, places, and experiences that have shaped his life, allowing viewers to connect with stories that feel both personal and universal.

Through his work, Roger hopes to inspire others to appreciate their own heritage and explore the histories, traditions, and communities that have helped define who they are. His paintings serve as reminders that culture lives not only in grand moments, but also in the everyday people and places we carry with us throughout our lives.
